ADHD Babes: A Year of Empowerment and Expansion in 2024

We are beyond excited to celebrate the incredible achievements of ADHD Babes, a past grantee, whose work continues to inspire and empower those within the ADHD community. Over the past year, ADHD Babes has achieved tremendous growth, expanded its reach globally, and fostered an environment of support and empowerment for black and marginalized individuals with ADHD. Their unwavering commitment to creating a safe and inclusive space for those navigating ADHD is truly transformative, and we are thrilled to share their exciting 2024 milestones.

ADHD Babes: A Year of Empowerment and Expansion in 2024

2024 has been nothing short of magical for ADHD Babes. The organisation has experienced extraordinary growth, touching lives across the globe and creating lasting impacts for their community.

Here are some of the key highlights from this remarkable year:

Global Community Growth: The ADHD Babes membership grew to over 270 members from around the world, united by their shared experiences of navigating life with ADHD. This growing community continues to foster connection, understanding, and support across borders.
Weekly Events and Engagement: ADHD Babes held 2 to 5 events every week, including one in-person event each month. With a total of 1479 sign-ups throughout the year, these events served as a vital source of connection, learning, and empowerment for their community.
Access to Life-Changing ADHD Assessments: Over 20 members were supported in gaining access to free, life-changing ADHD assessments, helping them better understand and navigate their ADHD journeys with the necessary tools and resources. These 20 free assessments are a service ADHD Babes piloted with the grant from the BFN Funder.
Team Expansion: The ADHD Babes team has grown to 30 amazing individuals, with 7 working pro-rata and 14 paid freelancers. This expansion has allowed the organisation to serve their community with even more dedication, creativity, and expertise.
New Home at Space4: ADHD Babes has found a physical base at Space4, where they can co-work, host events, and meet as a community. This new space serves as a central hub for connection, collaboration, and support.
Partnerships for Greater Impact: Through exciting partnerships with organisations such as Kew Gardens and the National Theatre, ADHD Babes has worked to improve access to green spaces and theatre for their community. These partnerships offer members enriching opportunities to experience nature and culture, promoting holistic well-being.
Grant Support for Continued Growth: ADHD Babes has successfully secured several vital grants in 2024, including funding from Tallawah, the National Lottery, and Lloyds Community Bank. These grants will enable them to expand their community outreach, enhance their equity change work, and strengthen their sustainability structures throughout 2025.

As ADHD Babes reflects on this momentous year, they are filled with gratitude for their vibrant community and the Black Babe magic that continues to fuel their mission. Their unwavering commitment to empowerment, access, and support has made 2024 an unforgettable year, and they are eager to continue their work into the next year with even greater impact.
