At Black Funding Network, we are proud to support incredible Black-led grassroots organisations that make real, lasting change. One of our past grantees, ADHD Babes, has had a transformative year – winning awards, expanding their reach, and strengthening support for Black women and non-binary people with ADHD.
π Award-Winning Advocacy & Recognition
ADHD Babes was honoured with multiple awards this year, recognising their pioneering work in neurodiversity advocacy:
- Winner: Organisation of the Year β Genius Within Awards
- Winner: Community Organisation of the Year β Inside Out Wellbeing Awards
- Nominee: Stereotype Buster Award β Genius Within Awards
These accolades highlight their commitment to challenging stereotypes, raising awareness, and building a supportive community.

π£οΈ Raising Awareness & Driving Change
ADHD Babes has been an unwavering voice for intersectional neurodiversity advocacy. This year, they shared their expertise at:
- Black History Month Panels at Wandsworth Stand Up & University of Hertfordshire
- International Womenβs Day Panel with IPG Mediabrands
- University of Exeter β Exploring race, gender, disability & education
- Black Funding Network Summer Mixer β Connecting with changemakers
Their presence at these events has helped shift conversations around neurodiversity and disability justice in Black communities.

π Expanding Community Support & Resources
ADHD Babes continues to provide essential spaces for connection, learning, and advocacy. This year, they:
- Hosted 1 to 4 events per week, with over 1,443 sign-ups
- Relaunched their U.S. support group
- Grew their membership from 180 to 275
- Helped 23 members receive an ADHD diagnosis
Through these initiatives, they ensure Black neurodivergent individuals have access to the support they deserve.

π€ Strengthening Partnerships & Launching New Programs
ADHD Babes expanded their impact through new initiatives:
- Emergency Aid Fund β Providing Β£500 grants to those in need
- Community House Visits β Supporting members in their homes
- New Advocacy Services β Assisting members in accessing healthcare & workplace accommodations
They also formed key partnerships with:
- Neuromancers β Free photoshoot days for members
- Sip & Sculpt β Creative workshops for neurodivergent individuals
- Inflow β Addressing workplace challenges for neurodivergent professionals

As ADHD Babes steps into its 5th year, they remain committed to growth, inclusion, and advocacy. Their work has already changed so many livesβand we are excited to see their next chapter unfold.
